Church, Beijing Duck and Olympic venues

We had another amazing day in Beijing! We woke up this morning and went to church with Gayle and the kids. We are getting so spoiled by her. She has let us stay with her for two nights, and her guest bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. She knows all the best restaurants and she watched Connor for us while we went out to dinner! We love her.

I  have been wondering where the LDS church meets in Beijing. We got there, turned left at KFC and took the elevator up to the 4th floor. As soon as we got off the elevator it was like any other church! Connor got up with the primary kids to sing for Fathers Day and we were just overwhelmed. We said here we are in Beijing China and our son is singing with the kids for Fathers Day. Amazing!

Beijing is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to. Its clean, the people are friendly and there is so much to do. People talk about the smog, but really, I have not even noticed it one bit.

Tonight one of Uncle Ted's friends (coach Yii) took us out to see the birds nest and the water cube. Being there in person was so cool! We then went to dinner at this incredible restaurant and had Beijing Duck. Really... the place was amazing. Not only was the food delicious, but we sat in a private room and there was great entertainment. After that we went to this old town shopping district and just walked around. Thanks coach Yi for the great night!

There are so many great photos, but I'm not sure how to load them on Gayle's computer and Danny is already sleeping. I will have him add them tomorrow.

We are counting down the days until we get our little girl!

Happy Fathers day Dads!

Finally, a comment on Father's Day! What nice people you are meeting, and how kind of them to show you around. Keep the newsy reports coming. Countdown to Gotcha Day?

Dana is safely here at Phoenix and we attended your old Sunburst ward today.

China in our Hearts

We feel so blessed that through this adoption process we have truly seen God work many miracles in order to bring our family together. When people ask us; “Why international adoption?” The answer is easy, “Because our daughter is in China.” -Andrea
