Yesterday we went to the beach to celebrate! Lizzie had her cardiologist appointment to check on her heart condition and they told us the hole in her heart closed all on it's own! No surgery needed and we have a completely healthy kid! We have been praying and praying for this and are just so grateful as we know that this was a huge blessing. So first we went to the Chinese buffet and then the beach!
East coast, west coast or lake coast bring it on. We live about 30 minutes from a beautiful lake called Lake Wiley so yesterday we decided to go show Lizzie the beach. We had a dip in the lake then roasted hot dogs and had s'mores while we watched the sunset. Perfect day!

I tried to get more photos of Connor swimming, but this is what he gave me......funny bug.

So I took more beach photos of Lizzie...
She was all business with the sand and would not crack a smile. She could not figure out what the sand did exactly, but she loved it.
Danny goes back to work the first week of September and it's going to be so sad. Life is great when you have two full time parents that don't have to show up to work the next day! The beaches are a lot emptier on the weeknights and it's like every day is a vacation. :) We are so grateful for this time and are enjoying every second of it.
So often Danny and I stop ourselves to ask ourselves how in the world we have been blessed with two beautiful children that we love so much. Life really is a miracle.

Devin told me about the doctor appointment last night! So incredible and we are so so happy for you guys.
Lizzie is beautiful!
That is so awesome that that hole closed up on its own. Lizzie is getting the time of her life...as short as it is....in great new experiences. We think this is a Heavenly blessing for sure. She is adorable.
Such exciting news! She is so beautiful!
I don't know that I've ever met a child that didn't love the sand! At least all of mine do! Such a blessing about Lizzy's heart! I didn't know that she had a heart condition! it can be scary- my niece has a left hypoplastic heart- she's had 6 open heart surgeries...it's great that you won't have to go through that!!! Congrats on being home and having 2 beautiful and healthy children!!
Amen and Amen. Makes me want to pray even bigger things! Joab and I both agree Lizzie is an amazing fit in your home and life. Can't wait to see all the other miracles she gets to see! Love you all!
So glad Lizzie is going to be okay. It must be the love of her new family that healed her heart. Where is that great beach at Lake Wylie? Tess and her family would love to meet you there sometime.
I remember how busy it can be when you first get back. Email me whenever you get a chance. I'd love to hear from you. Ginger Sawyer

The whole saga must become a book. It would give such hope to other adoptive parents - and just be an inspiration to anyone else. Love, love, love the beach pictures.
